Konrad Knell
Konrad is a leader in facilitating strategic planning and leadership development using creative, collaborative, and visual methods.
Operating with the deeply held beliefs “organizational change starts with personal change” and in “being the change you wish to see in the world,” Konrad is a seasoned consultant of 20 years who has made the core of his work designing and facilitating processes to develop visions and strategies that are inspiring, clear, and grounded in action. Along the way, he’s pioneered several methods of bringing graphic facilitation, visual mapping, collaborative group process, and leadership development into strategic planning. His recent clients have included Adobe Systems, Cisco, GE Healthcare, Hewlett-Packard, and Levi Strauss.
In addition to his work with Trium, Konrad is founder and principal of Blue Summit Strategy, which serves small businesses, non-profits, and individual leaders in addition to global corporations. He also teaches and coaches individuals and groups to be more effective team members and transformational leaders. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Strategic Decisions Group, a $70 million strategy consulting firm that combines highly analytic decision analysis tools with group process and facilitation methods. He directed the development of large-scale creative business strategies in organizations including Boeing, Chevron, IBM, Pfizer, and Proctor & Gamble.
Konrad holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Biology & Psychology from Harvard University. He loves outdoor sports of all kinds, travel, yoga, and studying Eastern philosophy and Western psychology. He makes his home in Marin County, California.
