Mary Massey
Our Team
Over the past four years at Trium, Mary has leveraged her diverse international background and 10-year experience in financial and operations management to successfully complete large-scale organizational transformation , strategy implementation, and cultural evolution projects across a broad range of industries. These projects included her participation as a key leader for Trium on projects at the World Bank, Cisco, Barclays Global Investors, AXA UK, and a Top-10 European commercial airline.
Mary joined Trium after completing the MBA program at UCLA where she graduated as an Advanced International Management Fellow. Prior to the MBA program, Mary spent eight years in the financial services industry, primarily at Goldman Sachs in New York and ABN Amro Bank in the Cayman Islands. At Goldman Sachs, Mary managed client services for some of the firm’s “ultra” high net worth relationships. At ABN Amro, Mary led a small team in starting-up the first offshore hedge fund administration office in the Cayman Islands. At both firms Mary was an effective intermediary on issues of bank operations and financial management for senior manager clients from a wide range of industries and cultural backgrounds.
During the MBA program at UCLA, Mary completed overseas management studies programs at the IESE Graduate School of Business in Spain, and ESAN Business School in Perú. Her experience of studying the Peruvian economy and business environment while living with a local family, combined with a language immersion experience that she completed in Costa Rica several years prior, inspired her to leverage her unique investment management background to combat poverty in Central America. While completing her MBA, she successfully led a team to raise private equity and develop an operating business model for Prisma Microfinance, Inc., a small US-based company that owns and operates two micro-lending institutions in Nicaragua and Honduras.
Also while at UCLA, Mary served as a consultant with MBA program faculty for the Johnson & Johnson/Head Start program, which provides management training and strategy consulting services to the directors of Head Start, a federally-funded non-profit community service agency.
Prior to completing her MBA at UCLA, she earned a BS in Business Administration from Miami University - Ohio. She is also certified in administering the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
