Tom Curren


Tom is a change agent who brings to Trium and clients more than 30 years of senior consulting and leadership experience.

He works with executives and their teams to integrate strategy, structure, and process with team dynamics, trust, and authenticity… all with the end goal of driving and delivering desired change.

In addition to his work with Trium, Tom is the founder of Hawthorne Consulting, a firm that focuses on strategy, group dynamics, and coaching. He has also served concurrently as a Fellow in the McKinsey Change Center, where he's proud to have helped develop a leading-edge approach to improve change initiative implementation by giving equal weight to decision-driven and behavior-dependent aspects of performance. Earlier, during a 13-year "stay" at Marriott Corporation, he worked his way up to the position of SVP for Corporate Planning & Business Development and created the Courtyard by Marriott franchise. Before that, Tom served as an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Company, where he managed strategy and marketing studies for Fortune 500 manufacturers and retailers. Tom began his professional career out of business school as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy.

Tom earned his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BA at Trinity College of CT. He has also earned myriad certifications and undergone extensive focused training in such areas as corporate transformation tools, real-time strategic change, and dialogue mapping. He now lives in the shadow of The Rockies in beautiful Boulder, CO.
