Jon Slavet

Our Team

Jon's career spans senior operating roles within large corporations, and CEO roles in the start-up world. Throughout his career, he's brought a passion for personal development as a leader to his many challenging management experiences.   

 

Most recently, Jon was CEO of The Balance Company, a leading marketer of next-generation antioxidant products. The company was acquired by Youngevity Essential Life Sciences in March of 2008. 

 

Previously, Jon was an operating executive in and advisor to successful consumer internet and media companies. Jon was the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Guru Worldwide Inc., the leading online network for independent professionals, which was merged with Unicru Inc., and ultimately acquired by Kronos Inc. (NASDAQ: KRON) in 2006. He was also an advisor to Tickle Inc., the leading self-discovery website, which was acquired by Monster.com  in 2005. Jon served in a strategic advisory capacity to the Founder and CEO of ReadyMade Magazine, a leading publication in the "DIY" (do it yourself) category, that was acquired in 2006 by Meredith Corporation.

 

Previously, Jon was the Vice President of E! Online, a division of E! Entertainment Television, where he had management responsibility for all revenue streams. Prior to joining E! Online, Jon worked at Wired Magazine and at WNYC, the leading NPR affiliate.   

 

Jon graduated from Dartmouth College with honors, and his true first priority is his wife Lexi and their two baby girls, Celia Ann and Hazel.
