Trium
Technology Industry Giant
Mobilizing large-scale transformation for sustained competitive advantages
Background
One of the world's leading technology companies made a set of major reorganizational changes in order to act faster and compete more effectively in increasingly cutthroat markets where products and services are expected to connect more seamlessly than ever before. After announcing its intentions publicly, the organization's leadership recognized that it did not have a crystal clear vision of its end-state, nor did it know what critical, tangible shifts would be necessary to activate the organization and ultimately bring its vision to life.
Trium's Role
The Trium team worked with company leadership around the globe to align, equip and mobilize the organization for successful reorganization.
Through this work, Trium:
- Collaborated with the organization's strategy leadership to co-design the structure, roles, and content of the overall change process
- Facilitated senior leadership dialogues to identify common challenges across business units and focus on areas where cross-functional coordination was needed to achieve change objectives
- Developed a comprehensive transformation roadmap with aligned metrics and regular milestones en route to a clear end-state
- Trained “change agents” and assisted them in rolling out change initiatives to 2,500 managers across multiple continents
- Served as ongoing counsel and mentor to change sponsors at all levels and functions of the organization
Client Impact
As a result of their work with Trium, the client senior executives reported:
- Extremely high level of shared awareness of the need for, and direction of, change
- Clarity and commitment to five overarching change objectives, generating 14 global change initiatives, to which local initiatives and actions were linked
- Active ownership and commitment from the executive suite down to the line managers and local managers who would “own” the everyday implementation
- Organizational empowerment through a team of internal change agents, many capable of delivering and facilitating workshops on their own with high quality and impact
- Ultimately, early signs of a strong foundation for the reorganization, followed up most recently by the announcement that this company’s latest earnings exceeded expectations
