Producing Breakthrough Business Results via Improved Leadership and Teaming

Airline

Background

A leading global supply management and healthcare IT company approached Trium asking for assistance with the reorganization of a multi-billion dollar division. New systems conversions, increased competitive pressure and new efficiency requirements signaled that the old way of doing business couldn't maintain a 20% annual growth rate. The Division President believed that substantial growth was nevertheless possible and engaged Trium to help leadership identify and practice the behaviors that could support that growth. The ultimate goal: shortening '"time-to-impact" ratio on important business initiatives to consistently produce breakthrough results on more fronts with less effort.

Trium's Approach

Trium identified a number of mission-critical issues and met with leaders for a two-day session designed to help them reach clarity and achieve alignment behind a vision for their business. The team then developed initiatives, which they immediately began implementing throughout the organization. To ensure successful implementation of these initiatives, Trium coached individual leaders, designed and led group strategy sessions and developed work sessions for a target group of critical constituents, which leaders then facilitated themselves. These sessions were either incorporated into scheduled meetings or delivered in ad hoc conversations.

Client Impact

In the two-year engagement working with Trium, the client has consistently exceeded financial expectations and earned a reputation as the backbone of the entire enterprise. The expected cultural disruption resulting from the reorganization never occurred. In a follow-up organization-wide employee survey, their regions and functions generally received the highest performance ratings overall.
