Who we are...
Started over 12 years ago, Trium has established itself as among the leading consulting boutiques in the world. Our success is born from a genuine capability to integrate "hard" and "soft" business consulting in a way that holistically addresses the challenges our clients face. This does not mean we focus on "people issues" and see real questions around strategy and organization as secondary priorities, nor does it mean we deliver decks based on abstract analytical approaches. What it does mean, is that we acknowledge and address the fact that nearly all business decisions must consider how leaders build and execute strategy. Our success and our growth is predicated on our ability to find stellar people who can become trusted advisors to senior executives at some of the world's most influential organizations.
What we are looking for...
To be successful at Trium, you will need to have three distinct but inter-related capabilities.
- A rigorous background in "hard" business consulting focused on strategy development, strategy execution, large-scale change and organization structure and process issues - skill and technology and related implementation are helpful, but not our game.
- A genuine interest in and personal commitment to building companies that foster and embrace the challenge of making the world a better place - you understand the dynamics of human behavior and have a deep appreciation for how these issues play out in organizations to create and/or destroy value. You also have done "work on yourself" and bring a high level of self-awareness and self-management to your work.
- As passion for being an entrepreneur - you excel at working in unstructured business environments where initiative and creativity are critical - you know how to make things happen and how to leverage relationships, and you want an opportunity to apply these skills in a well established firm that is truly entrepreneurial in every sense of the word.
What you will do:
As a Principal or Partner, you will be responsible for designing, leading, and delivering Trium Consulting Services. You will be expected to learn Trium's experiential learning and other state-of-the-art consulting tools, and become a top facilitator and trusted advisor for key clients. In addition, you will play a key role in business development and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Principals and Partners have a leading role in client engagements. You will also provide vision and coaching to team members. You uncover opportunities and craft effective business decisions to strengthen our team and our firm's leadership. Client management responsibilities include the following:
- Managing all aspects of multiple client engagements, and leading project teams
- Collaborating with senior executives, working with them to:
- Develop effective strategies
- Help executives shape their vision for the organization and identifying the mindsets and behaviors that will bring their vision to life
- Prepare them and their teams for successful execution, ensuring they tap into the potential of their people's wisdom, passion and creativity
- Steward the organization as transformation occurs
- Provide ongoing coaching and advisory support as needed
- Integrating traditional strategy disciplines with Trium's high-impact leadership approaches and practices
- Creating Innovative new approaches to catalyze change in ways that are aligned with our clients' highest intention and vision
Key Requirements
We seek highly motivated people with outstanding academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in business and leadership development. We are also looking for individuals who possess the qualities critical for success in our business, including excellent writing skills, resourcefulness, tenacity, passion, self-confidence and a strong work ethic.
You combine the skills of an outstanding consultant — intellectual rigor, analytical thinking, and a passion for client service — with a high level of emotional intelligence and an ability to add value in the complex business and human situations that leaders face. You inspire those around you, both clients and colleagues, with intention, character, enthusiasm, compassion and an ability to thrive in a variety of complex situations. You have a commitment to results and impact while striving to produce them in ways that elevate those you work with. You bring a deep regard for people at all levels and the potential to connect with, inspire and contribute to the careers of senior executives. You strive everyday to become a better individual, and want to work in an environment with people who value development, feedback and continuous improvement. You love consulting, but want to do it in a different way.
Suitable candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- An MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier school and a strong record of professional success
- Excellent grasp of business strategy as well as organizational and leadership issues
- At least 7+ years (preferably post-graduate) consulting experience in a highly respected firm
- Experience in managing professional services teams
- Previous experience and successful results selling professional consulting services
- Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Strong character and a passion for self discovery and personal development
Not required but strongly preferred:
- Business experience and contacts in the geographic area in which you will be working and/or in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Experience facilitating experiential learning and training programs.
