FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Trium Partner Shani Harmon Collaborating with Systems Psychologist David Kantor to Help Executives Improve Leadership Behavior in High-Stakes Situations.
SAN FRANCISCO (June 19, 2012) —The Trium Group, the boutique management consulting firm that specializes in organizational transformation and strategy execution, announced that Partner Shani Harmon is collaborating with PhD and author of Reading the Room David Kantor to translate his lifelong research around interpersonal communication and behavior change into a practical business application.
Harmon and Kantor are currently working together to create a psychometric instrument that predicts how people's behavior will change under high stakes conditions. They plan to leverage this tool within the corporate setting so executives can improve their effectiveness when it matters most – in the face of organizational or strategic upheaval.
Harmon and Kantor last partnered together to design a yearlong leadership development program based on Kantor's theory of Structural Dynamics that explains how and why face-to-face communication succeeds or fails. As part of this collaboration they also built a now widely used behavioral instrument called The Behavioral Propensities Profile and a software application for coding human communication in real time. Throughout this four year partnership, they worked with a wide range of coaches and senior executives in applying the Structural Dynamics model to enable complex organizational change through leadership development.
"We always believe that an organization cannot change unless the leaders of the organization first change themselves," said Andrew Blum, Trium CEO and Managing Partner. "We are thrilled that this work will help leaders uncover the underlying thinking and patterns of behavior that get them stuck, and really give their teams and the organizations they work for a chance to become brilliant."
