The Trium Group Equips Global Winemaker to Advance Transformation Vision and Culture
Elite strategy consultancy helps Americas division plant seeds for growth and prosperity
San Francisco, CA,11.10.2010 - The Trium Group, the boutique management consulting firm that specializes in organizational transformation and strategy execution, announced that it has re-engaged with one of the world's leading winemakers to advance its leadership vision and culture.
After earlier working closely with the company's U.S.-based executive team to clarify and align on various aspects of a transformation designed to increase competitiveness, the consultancy is now collaborating with the company's next-level leaders—its vice presidents and senior directors across all functions—to bring the desired transformation to life. Leaders will be refining the organization's vision so it is more compelling and actionable for the array of internal and external stakeholders who will ultimately be responsible for driving the vision to fruition.
This work also involves exploring and aligning on tangible, measurable cultural attributes and behaviors that the client's leadership team sees as being critical enablers of the transformation. Trium is furthermore supporting the leaders in fostering increased cross-functional cohesion outside the C-suite, and in examining how corporate priorities must evolve in light of the new thinking on vision and culture.
For purposes of confidentiality, Trium at this time will not disclose the client's name nor details that would identify it.
"Effective transformation doesn't happen at the top of an organization—done right, it happens in concert at every level of an organization, regardless of whether you're in the centuries-old business of winemaking or you're at the most cutting edge of technology," said Andrew Blum, Trium CEO and Managing Partner.
"This organization is prudently advancing from a top-down transformation to one in which next-level leaders are collaborating intently to own, refine, and shepherd the transformation so it can be truly meaningful, holistic, and personal for everyone at every level."
The wine industry has been hit hard by the world's recent economic downturn and its direct impact on consumer spending. Leading global winemakers including this client organization also bought up other companies and brands over the years and must now make the most out of their assets in today's highly competitive marketplace. Retail consolidation, shifts in where and how consumers buy wine, and evolving governmental regulations that vary by state or municipality only add to the challenges.
Trium Principal Monica Chi is leading the engagement with a close-knit team of Trium consultants.
"It's incredibly fulfilling to help this organization optimize its pool of top talent and wonderful brands and take its performance to an entirely higher level," said Chi. "Sustained commitment backed by consistent action will play a critical role in the company's achievement of its growth and people goals."
