The Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in and passionate about supporting a C-level executive and is ready to take the next step into impacting strategy and execution for the C-suite. We are a small-and-mighty management consulting firm dealing in strategy, culture, and leadership. Our CEO is very oriented toward relationship building and business development with the broader business community and needs a forward-looking, strategic EA to work closely on his team to proactively manage top company priorities. This is a highly engaged role that is suited for a best-in-class support professional who is looking to step up to the next level. You WILL be challenged personally and professionally.

The Role

You will have essential responsibility for partnering with the CEO to manage priorities, communicate with his business network, and take ownership of high-value workstreams on behalf of the CEO and the firm.

This role centers around the following responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the CEO and the Chief of Staff to manage competing priorities in business development, marketing, client work, and internal firm initiatives
  • Manage and execute the communications strategy of the CEO’s business network
  • Support internal communications, public speaking preparation, proposal writing, and direct communications to clients
  • Proactively manage calendar, travel, and direct administrative support for the CEO
  • Support tracking and managing business development and marketing activities
  • Manage events for internal and external activities, including space rental, catering, AV setup, coordinating with client teams
  • Handle high-stakes and confidential information with utmost professionalism

The Ideal Person

  • 5-7 years of post-undergrad work experience; sales and/or operations background is helpful
  • 2+ years of executive support to a single executive, not a team of senior leaders
  • Interested in business, organizational development, and/or leadership
  • Excellent emotional intelligence with an interest in continuous personal and professional growth
  • Capitalizes on ambiguity, change, and competing priorities and values; sees these things as opportunities instead of problems
  • Takes pride in written and verbal communication skills; favors conciseness
  • Is open to some flexibility with work hours
  • Hyper-organized and conscientious with outstanding execution skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Has a bachelor’s degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with different personality types, voice a clear and concise point of view, and be assertive enough to get the attention of busy individuals
  • Possesses a responsible mindset with the ability to self-reflect and adjust accordingly
